Surrounded by capitalist competition, it is always a challenge to develop and implement solidarity-based alternatives. Nevertheless, in recent years and decades, new collectives have been founded throughout Germany and in a wide variety of sectors in order to counteract the neoliberal lack of alternatives and the associated individualization and competition.
Collectives want to work together on an equal footing, pool resources and responsibility, make decisions on an equal basis, and operate not for profit but according to need – both socially and at the level of individual collective members.
What this requires, what such principles look like in everyday life, and what difficulties need to be overcome – collectives can discuss these and other questions at the next nationwide networking meeting near Kassel. The aim is to strengthen each other and build common structures. This will certainly build on previous meetings!
Date: March 26 to 29, 2026
